Oxford Tabla is running an after schools tabla club at a primary school in Oxford. Having a good time with the children exploring tabla sounds and how to produce them - clapping and speaking the time cycles and basic tabla phrases. The children lead the game! Motivated by the children Nilam and I have a fine inventive time and no two sessions are ever alike. The snapshot below was at the taster session 8th September and afterwards the kids were able to" have a go" on the tablas i had brought along - these are the ones hidden in the flying cases on the stage..... from India...
